After 5 years of acquisitions and the integration of families such as spinach and young shoots, the new lettuce line-up from the Business Unit* Vilmorin-Mikado has changed dimension. It now includes nine lettuce families and proposes almost 500 varieties to meet all the needs of this segment throughout the world.
“Leafy” vegetables are crops of which we eat the leaves, generally uncooked, in salads. They are classified in four categories: so-called “full head” lettuces (batavia, oakleaf, iceberg, etc.), spinach and endives (chicory, red endive, curly, etc.) and the young shoots from lettuces and other species (arugula, red cabbage, corn salad, etc.).
Through the launch of its “Experience the Leafy Choice” line-up of lettuces, Vilmorin-Mikado intends to demonstrate the diversity and originality of its offer, proposing a solution adapted to each market, for all growing types and consumption habits.
With this new line-up, Vilmorin-Mikado is illustrating its worldwide expertise and thus confirming its position among the major players in the sector.
